North Table and White Ranch Open Space sunrise run:

It was a cold, windy and sometimes snowy run.

29.5 Miles
5,364 ft Elevation Gain
Bite sized energy balls

I adapted this powerful treat from this recipe.  I substituted 1/2 C. of chopped pecans because i do not like coconut.  I also used 1/4 C. of ground oats (blended in my food processor) instead of the wheat germ.  Lastly, I used a dash of salt as it was a little sweet for my liking.

 Mix together dry ingredients:

  Stir in the liquids:

Form into bite sized balls and refrigerate:

These are delicious and easy to pack on long runs.  Enjoy!
Green Mountain:

Rough run.  I tripped on a rock and skid down the trail.  I ended up finishing the last 15 miles at home.  It was a beautiful trail though.  At one point I glanced up from my sleepy fog and saw these silly deer watching me.  I then looked around and saw several more bumbling white behinds speckled along the mountainside.  Always a happy sight!

25.8 miles

a snow filled run

A very large animal print.   I'm pretty sure it was from a dog.
